Danish Craft Beer Day (+ “Scandwich” Luncheon)

-SORRY, TICKETS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ONLINE FOR THIS EVENT-

For its size, Denmark punches far above its weight in the world of craft beer. As Belgium is to chocolate...as Turin is to vermouth...so Denmark sits, pound-for-pound, atop the craft beer world.

Legendary artisanal breweries Mikkeller, Fanø Bryghus, To Øl, Amager Bryghus and others continue to push the limits of malt, hoppiness, and complexity every bit as much as their American brethren. Mikkeller's "Beer Geek Breakfast" has entered the beer lexicon as shorthand for one of the greatest beers ever made.

Sadly, most people don't know any of that because Danish-made craft beer is not generally available for sale in the U.S. However, the opportunity recently presented itself to bring an extremely limited quantity over and to share these beers with a wider audience through Danish Soldiers Club. This event endeavors to do just that.

On Saturday, 3/2/24 ONLY, a sampling of outstanding Danish craft beer will be available for sale along with Denmark's iconic Cocio chocolate milk and Faxe Kondi soft drink. In addition, in celebration of Fastelavn, we will have a black cat pinata.

Folks will still be able to buy wine or regular Carlsberg beer. However, in order to incentivize attendees to partake in the spirit of the event, purchasers of craft beer will be entered into a raffle through which they stand to win:

   A. a gift basket full of direct-from-Denmark delicacies (some of which are seen below), and

   B. a free Denmark Day 2024 (5/4/24) enamel lapel pin (see below).

Please invite your friends and guests to this very special event, as we want to share Denmark's amazing craft beer with as many attendees as possible.

Drink tickets will be sold both in advance via the website and also in-person at the event.
